Even though I went to Toastmasters tonight I got absolutely nothing accomplished with The Speech.

Woke up late, made a doctor’s appointment for Meg, did spelling, writing and reading and then took her to swimming lessons.  I got a half hour workout in while Meg swam, made a quick trip to the grocery store, mailed my mom-in-law’s birthday card, made lunch for everyone, ate, made dinner because I wouldn’t be home to cook it, did dishes, did math, got ready for my grammarian role, AND the VP membership role since she doesn’t have a computer right now,  took a shower, dressed, flew Meaghan to the school but we JUST missed the teacher so couldn’t get her science books, went to pick up my shoe from the cobbler who is CLOSED till next Tuesday, went to the doctor, discovered poor Meg might have pinworms, traded Meg to Lloyd who had met us down there, went to the pharmacy to pick up her prescription, grabbed a new outfit while I waited for the prescription since I was freezing and underdressed, grabbed a coffee to keep my growling stomach from being too loud, got to Toastmasters with 20 minutes to spare, set up the room, (the absent Sargeant at Arms job) greeted our new guests, taped the word of the day on the lectern and finally, took a breath.

VERY small turnout tonight.  2 on vacation, 2 working, 1 awol, and 1 celebrating an anniversary with hubby.  🙂  We had 2 brand new TM’s inducted tonight and another hand in a membership form.  Now if we could just get our regulars to come regularly,  things would be juuuuust a little easier for the rest of us.

So, I got home around 8:30 and Meg was still awake (surprise!!!!)  and I wanted to give her her meds asap so I made her something to eat so she could take the pill.  Scooted her off to bed again, THEN, I proceeded to disinfect everything in the house and am currently on my 6th load of laundry.  It is 1:23 a.m.  I’m pretty tired.

I am hoping to work on The Speech tomorrow or possibly Friday afternoon.

I am also a little in awe as it seems there was an influx of Americans to my blog yesterday.  I doubled my previously highest readership day.  Strange, as it was out of nowhere, but I want to say Welcome to my world!  So glad to have you.  I think I’m going to call it a day.
