Spent tonight doing ALL Toastmasters stuff and NO speech.  Tomorrow is my Youth Leadership Program final presentation so I was making sure the Toastmaster had her script, the list of speeches was re-made, updated and printed, the agendas were finalized, introductions written, list of people to thank so no one is forgotten, etc.  Not to mention my own little girl being prepped for HER speech.  She is going to be a badass tomorrow.  🙂

I also did my online TM President’s training which took almost a couple of hours as well.

Plus I yanked a tooth out of my kid’s head.  Fun.  🙂

I also want to mention that I started my 100 Day Diva University Life Coaching session with Micaela Pennell, Texas Toastmaster extraordinaire.  We put almost a couple of hours into that today as well over SKYPE at lunchtime.  Very excited about what God is going to do here.  It is a true gift to be working with someone as astute and intuitive, as generous and caring, as intelligent and earnest as Micaela.  I have absolute faith in this process and know we will make extraordinary discoveries and gains.  I feel very blessed.  Between Micaela, Rich, Tracy and my amazing spiritual director, I feel like progress is accelerating and I am pleased.

Of course, I home schooled in between all this.  Spelling test today, grammar, reading The Odyssey for fun (can I tell you how much it tickles me that my kid digs Homer?), writing, studying the Greeks right now in history and dabbling in a little algebra believe it or not.  My girl likes math.  That makes me REALLY happy.

So I need to get to bed as we are up super early to set up for the YLP.  You know, I LOVE doing the YLP.  I LOVE watching the kids give their final presentations and glow in the light of the applause.  I love watching their parents BEAM.  It is hard core awesome and very satisfying.  It also bonds me with the kids like nothing else.  We always have a connection because of this.  It’s also very good PR for the club.

I’ve had a lot of fun doing this but man, did I pick the wrong time to do it!  I’m glad it will be over tomorrow and I can focus on energizing my club and writing The Big Speech.

It’s time to get down to business.
